Hi there, I'm Ben.
In the last few years I've:
- Started a microgreens farm
- Led a team building shelters in a refugee camp
- Designed programs to protect rice farmers from climate shocks
- Served as an Infantry Officer in the military
- Traveled across the US pitching a card game
Ultimately, I want to build a world in which people flee to safety, not more vulnerability.
If you're reading this, feel free to reach out to share ideas, or just to say hi!
Live questions
- "How do we ensure no refugee suffers from malnutrition in a new and unfamiliar environment?"
- "How can we help the world's brightest people do meaningful work?"
- "I wonder if there's a way to help the humanitarian space leverage more private-sector expertise."
- "How can I create space for more silly in the world?"
Former questions

- "How do we keep the roof of these tents from sinking?"
- "How do we get out of this jungle?"
