Hi there, I'm Ben.
I want to build a world in which people flee to safety, not more vulnerability. Along the way, I'm pursuing experiences that help me push that agenda, or grow into someone that can.
So far, I've:
- Started a microgreens farm to address malnutrition in Zervou Refugee Camp.
- Led a team building emergency shelters in Moria Refugee Camp.
- Served as an infantry officer.
- Designed programs to protect smallholder farmers from climate shocks.
- Attempted to publish a card game (unsuccessful! But ongoing).
If you're reading this, feel free to reach out to share ideas, or just to say hi!
Live questions
- "How do we ensure no refugee suffers from malnutrition in a new and unfamiliar environment?"
- "How can we help the world's brightest people do meaningful work?"
- "I wonder if there's a way to help the humanitarian space leverage more private-sector expertise."
- "How can I create space for more silly in the world?"
Former questions
- "How could blended crop insurance be accessible to agricultural workers in Southeast Asia?"
- "How do we keep the roof of these tents from sinking?"
- "How do we get out of this jungle?"
- "How do we keep rats off the rice farms?"
- "Why are my sunflower seeds always mouldy?"
- "What are refugee skilling programs in East Africa missing?"
